What is the NDIS, and who is eligible?

The NDIS is Australia’s National Disability Insurance Scheme. It provides eligible people with permanent and significant disability, or people who meet early intervention requirements, with funding for disability-related supports. To apply, you generally need to be aged 0 to 64, live in Australia, and be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or Protected Special Category visa holder.

Can I choose my providers?

Yes. NDIS participants have choice and control over who delivers their supports. You can compare providers, ask about experience, availability, pricing and service agreements, and choose registered providers where your plan or funding management requires it.
